CAPTN JAC (Jerry Lemmon), was born in Goshen, Indiana on January 3, 1953 to Jean and Harley Lemmon.  Jerry went to elementary school in North Webster In., and high school at Wawasee High School in Syracuse In.  During his high school years he studied trumpet and played in the Concert Band. At the age of 13 he received his first guitar and taught himself to play. Upon graduation, he traveled to St. Louis, Missouri to audition for a touring Country Western band called The Woody Jones Show.  He passed the audition and with that band, he traveled the United States and performed behind many Nashville stars of the day.  1972, he released his first single record, recorded in Memphis, TN., on the Faywood record label.  In 1974, he left the band and traveled to Boston to study music at the Berklee College Of Music.  After studying jazz bass at Berklee, he went back on the road again and spent the next few years traveling with different bands finally ending up in St. Louis, Mo.  After a stint working in the music business in Nashville, Tn, he moved to Indianapolis, In.  There Jerry began his new life as Captn Jac and started his Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show.  In 2013, with the help of the new love in his life, he relocated to SW Florida and began recording his original music and performing locally in resorts and clubs.  To date, Captn Jac has 2 Trop Rock albums completed and available on most all internet music platforms.  He has sold out performances at the Margaritaville Café in Key West and performed for Sir Richard Branson at a penthouse party atop the Raleigh Hotel in Miami.
